Geek Faerie

After seeing the Maleficent movie last night I was inspired to do a work appropriate face of the day (FOTD). What I used: Urban Decay Naked 2  palette eye shadows in Snakebite, Suspect, and Blackout Julep Eyes All A Glow gel liner in Black Shimmer L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara MAC Venomous Villains Maleficent blush in Briar Rose Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss lipstick in 10 MAC Venomous Villains Maleficent lipglass in Revenge Is Sweet How to apply: Start by applying your moisturizer, primer, and foundation.  Sweep Suspect across your entire eye lid.  Pat Snakebite on the outer 2/3 of your eye lid.  Pat Blackout on the order corner of your eyelid.  With an angled liner brush press Blackout along the outer 2/3 of your lash line.  Apply a thin line of  Black Shimmer onto the outer 2/3 of your lash line.  Sweep Miss Manga on your lashes with a few extra sweeps to your outer lashes.  Dust the apples of your cheeks with Briar Rose....

LORAC Naked Lace Collection Not too long ago HauteLook.com had a number of items by LORAC on sale.  I may have picked up an item or four.  You know how it starts.  You tell yourself, "Oh, I'm just going to have a quick look but I won't get myself anything."  Next thing you know your cart is full to bursting with finds, steals, and amazing deals while your SO and credit card clutch their sides in pain.  Then you practically set up camp by the front door waiting for your blessed purchases to arrive.  I may have nearly killed my delivery guy from the adrenaline excitement rush that hit me as his truck stopped at my door.  Yes I need help, I know.

Don't you hate it when you're in a rush and you end up going a little darker on your make-up then you wanted to.  Well that is what I did the first day I put on My Paradise.  It's not terrible but sheesh I need to pay attention more.  I bring this up because of how dark this color is, you really need to use a light hand and watch how much you apply.  I only dipped my brush into the peach side cause I didn't want any sparkle and I still got a bit much.  I should have just accepted the sparkle and done my traditional one quick light swish around the pan, that always gives me the right amount of color.  But no I was trying to go for just peach and got too much.  Live and learn.  Random side track, you ever notice how we take the time to reduce the amount of red on our face just to go back in with blush and add color.  We are odd ducks aren't we?
